  •  Mise-en-scene:

Lighting - In the trailer the first few seconds the protagonist is having a conversation with the priest and shoots him and the screen flashes black and white portraying flashes to cut out that the priest is dead and to create tension. The lighting in this trailer is mostly flashes as a transition to different areas/scenes.











Location - The location of this film is in Bruges which is a city in Belgium.  

Costumes - The characters in the trailer are wearing suits in different scenes or formal button up shirts this implies they're on a mission of some kind.


Era - The era of this film is in the early 2000s (2008)


Performance - The performance in this trailer is good. Its realistic and it involves action as well as comedy within the thriller. 


Props - The props in this trailer would be guns, books, phones and the plates and other items that were on the tables.

Shot types - The shot types in the trailer are mid shot, close range/extreme close ups and long shots 


Camera angles - the camera angles in the trailer are mainly at face level or high angles where you can see a clear shot from above.



Camera movement - The camera movement in the trailer is mainly moving/skipping from one persons face to another each time someone speaks. When they show the tower with the spiral stairs the camera movement moves from a low angle and moves fast towards the top.

Place -  The place the film took place in is a city called Bruges in Berlin.

Techniques - When a shooting occurs they edit in black and white flashing.


Transitions - In the trailer they jump from scene to scene or they usually use a flash to move between the scenes. 



  • Sound:
Sound affects - The sound affects when a character shoots someone they use a banging sound to signify the trigger has been pulled 


Music - The music in the end of the trailer is very fast and slightly up beat to create suspension. In the middle of the trailer the music is guitars its playing very fast to move from scene to scene and is upbeat which is the comedy part of thriller.

Voice overs - There is no voice overs in the trailer.
